LIVESTREAMING 101

Ready to go live on Fansly? Here's your golden ticket to connecting with fans and increasing your earnings. Fear not, streaming rookies, this guide is all you need to get started, get seen and get paid!

STARTING YOUR LIVESTREAM

Beginning your live stream on Fansly is straightforward. First, generate your unique stream key by going to Creator Dashboard > Streaming. This key connects your broadcasting software, such as OBS Studio, to Fansly.

Download and set up OBS Studio, then configure it with your stream server and key from Fansly. If you wish, you can also create a chat room for your stream to interact more with viewers by setting permissions like price per message or access restrictions based on subscriptions or tips.

INTEGRATING TOOLS

You can integrate tools like Lovense through the Lovense Chrome extension. Once installed, your chat room on Fansly will automatically detect it, allowing you to engage interactively with incoming tips.

PRO TIP

CONSIDER SETTING STREAM GOALS TO ENCOURAGE VIEWER CONTRIBUTIONS DURING YOUR BROADCAST.

These goals can be anything from fundraising for new equipment to supporting a personal project.

MAINTAINING STREAM SECURITY

Never share your stream key with anyone. If you suspect your stream key has been compromised, immediately reset it in your streaming settings to prevent further unauthorized access. Regularly updating and securing your stream key helps control your content and ensures your live streams remain private and secure.

CONFIGURING STREAM SETTINGS

All your settings for live streaming are in the Creator Dashboard under Streaming. Here, you can manage everything from generating your stream key, setting up chat rooms and configuring viewer and chatter permissions. You can monetize your streams by setting viewing permissions for fans who are following you, subscribed, tipped or paid a ticket prices, and you can do the same for your chat permissions. These settings not only make your stream exclusive but also open up avenues for increased revenue.

STREAM PRIVATELY WITH LISTS

If you want to go live for just one fan or host a private VIP stream for your top supporters, you can do by using Lists. Head to your Creator Dashboard > Streaming and choose which List(s) get access under Stream Viewing Permissions. Only users on those lists will be able to view or interact with the stream. This feature is great if for paid one-on-sessions, exclusive group shows, or selling pre-sale tickets to your streams.
