MAKING YOUR FIRST POST

We've finally made it to making your first post. Here, you'll discover how to post for engagement and visibility on Fansly correctly.

CREATING YOUR FIRST POST

From your homepage, you can craft posts with various customization options. Promote your post for greater visibility on the FYP, pin crucial announcements or events to the top of your feed, or sort posts into wall albums for organized categories.

Control who can comment by locking post replies and upload multiple media bundles with specific viewing permissions.

You can also schedule your posts, set expiration dates for exclusive content, and engage your audience with polls or tip goals. For more interaction, add audio with tailored permissions to your posts.

POSTING FOR MAX REACH

If visibility is part of your growth strategy, you'll want to ensure your content correctly appears on the FYP. When posting, include a free preview of your locked media, check 'Post to FYP' and use 5-10 hashtags that describe you and your content.

ORGANIZE CONTENT WITH WALL ALBUMS

Wall albums help organize your content into categories, making it easy for viewers to find what interests them.

Whether you label them by content types (eg. cosplay, b/g, g/g, solo) or by permissions (free for followers, subscribers, PPV) is up to you.

Adding posts to wall albums is as simple as selecting 'Add to Walls', where you can manage your existing albums to keep your content well-organized.

HASHTAG CORRECTLY

Hashtags are an excellent tool for increasing your visibility on the platform, and they function the same way as hashtags work on any platform. You’ll want to get specific with your hashtags to really hone in on your audience.

For example, instead of using a broad hashtag like #gaming, consider using #mariokart, which is more specific. Aim to use no more than 5-10 accurate hashtags. Overdoing it or using misleading tags can actually reduce your engagement over time by attracting the wrong crowd.

PRO TIP

WATERMARKING YOUR MEDIA IS A SMART WAY TO PROTECT YOUR CONTENT WHILE ENHANCING YOUR BRAND’S VISIBILITY. YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR WATERMARK BY GOING TO CREATOR DASHBOARD > UPLOADS.
